Ideal for grade 3, during the Protecting your Noggin'! activity students will use household materials to build an egg protector and protect an egg from a fall.
By the end of the activity students should be able to:
- Identify the purpose of helmets/protection devices
- Use a variety of materials to construct a protection device
- Use a variety of designs to construct a protection device
- Compare effectiveness of various designs and materials
- Work with other students, using skills such as listening, speaking and problem solving in order to complete a construction project
